ICC: Former Congolese VP Bemba Acquitted Of War Crimes

Former Congolese vice-president Jean-Pierre Bemba, who was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in 2016, has had his conviction overturned.

Bemba, who has already spent almost a decade in jail, will not be immediately released from detention in The Hague after he lost a separate appeal against a conviction for bribing witnesses.
