Kenneth Omeruo
Nigeria and Chelsea's defender Kenneth Omeruo is in Madrid as he inches closer to a move to Spanish side Leganes on a one-year loan deal.

It was gathered that the Chelsea man will be the team’s third signing for the summer after completing the move on Wednesday.

Omeruo will also be unveiled the same day by the La Liga team and will now join Jose Arnaiz and Oscar Rodriguez as the club’s latest acquisitions.

Leganes also have the option of a permanent deal with the 24-year-old Omeruo, pegged at €5m next summer, with Chelsea also agreeing a 20% future sale clause in the agreement.

The Nigerian has not played a competitive game for Chelsea since his arrival from Standard Liege in 2014.

He has been on loan since his signing by the Blues.
