Suspected Kidnapper Linked With Tramadol Intake Dies In Ondo - Police

A suspected kidnapper in Ondo State who has been unconscious for the past ten days since arrest following complications from high intake of tramadol has died.

He passed on Monday after 30 drips were infused into him at the Owo General Hospital in a frantic bid to keep him alive.

The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the development.

“The suspect died ten days after we arrested him; we thought he would be revived so that he could help us in our investigation,” the police said.

“Unfortunately, he died yesterday (Monday). This could be connected with the high intake of tramadol which he took.

“We are using this opportunity to further educate the public, especially parents, to monitor their wards and the kind of company they keep, ’’

The suspect was arrested on August 5, after he fell due to the intake of the drug during a kidnap attempt of a Pharmacist in Owo.
