Bomb Blasts Hit Town of Konduga, Nigeria Killing At Least 18 People



At least 18 persons have been killed and scores injured when multiple bombers believed to be members of the Boko Haram terrorist group strucked in Konduga local government area of Borno State Friday night.

The blasts occurred at fish Market (Kasuwan kifi) In Sabon Gari, konduga town at 8pm as three bombers stormed the area and detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), killing 14 civilian mostly children and injuring 60 people.

Rescue workers who pacitipated in the evacuation of victims said that most of the victims were children and women.

Boko Haram has killed some 20,000 people and displaced more than two million since it began a campaign of violence to create an Islamic state in the north of the country in 2009.
