Edmund Phipps, 50, was snared by internet sleuth Danny Catcher, who posed as a girl aged between 13 and 15 online to chat to the older man, MailOnline reports.

Phipps, from Gloucester, travelled to Bath in a bid to meet the girl on July 12 last year, but was confronted by Danny Catcher and then the police.

He pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child at Bristol Crown Court. He is yet to be sentenced.
