Police Declare Dino Melaye, Seven Other Wanted

Nigerian Police has on Wednesday declared the senator representing Kogi West constituency, Sen. Dino Melaye and seven other suspects wanted in Kogi state.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Kogi commissioner of police, Mr. Ali Janga on Wednesday in Lokoja.
Recall that the Police had on Wednesday morning announced the escape of two suspected persons in Dino Melaye’s case.
His words, “the two suspects, Kabiru Seidu alias Osama and Nuhu Salisu alias Small, escaped at about 3:21 a.m. at the A Police Division in Lokoja where they were being kept in lawful custody.
“The 13 police officers who were on duty when the incident occurred were defaulted and detained for interrogation”, he said.
On the other hand, Senator Dino had threatened to sue the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris for the escape of the two suspected persons who accused him of sponsoring them in Kogi.
In his words, “These two accused persons either have been released or killed. I will sue the IGP for intimidation, abuse of power, harassment and mental assault if these two suspects are not produced dead or alive”, he said.
In view of the above drama, the Nigerian Police on Wednesday afternoon declared Sen. Dino Melaye wanted along with six other jail breakers.
