Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a man dropped dead on stage at an awards ceremony after dancing up to collect his prize.

Vishnu Pandey, 53, was collecting an award as part of a travel agents prize giving in Agra, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, when tragedy struck.

As Pandey’s name is called, he can be seen running up to the stage jigging to a Bollywood song amid cheers from the audience.

Wearing a grey safari suit, he continues to dance round the stage to the delight of the crowd and presenters.

But in just 16 seconds, the businessman from Mumbai loses his balance and collapses on to the stage, leaving everyone stunned.

Audience members quickly rushed to his aid and he was taken to hospital.


Doctors confirmed that Pandey had died from a cardiac arrest.
