Antoine Griezmann scored twice as Atletico Madrid won the Europa League trophy for the third time in nine years with a 3-0 win over Marseille, yesterday in Lyon, France.
The France forward opened the scoring after taking advantage of Andre Zambo Anguissa’s poor touch to coolly slot home in the 29th minute.
He doubled the lead four minutes into the second-half with a delightful dink, before skipper of the side Gabi put the icing on the cake as he drilled in the third goal late on.
The Spanish side had won the competition in 2010 and 2012.
