FG Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays To Mark Eid-El-Fitr

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday declared Friday, June 15 and Monday, June 18 as public holidays to celebrate Eid el-Fitr.

Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, made this known in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr M. B. Umar.

Dambazau, according to the statement, called on Muslim faithful and other Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the country.
