CAF Confederation Cup: Nigerian Club Side Enyimba Slipped Off Leadership Position As They Lost To Williamsville AC

The Nigerians dropped to third in Group C after losing to the Ivoriens in Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup fixture

Nigerian football club side, Enyimba were beaten 2-0 by Williamsville AC in Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup outing and surrendered their leadership position in Group C.

Goals from Jean-Willy N’da and Guy Yameogo dismantled the Nigerians inside a noisy Stade Robert Champroux, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Usman Abdallah’s men needed a positive result to brighten their chances of making it to the next round, however, they put every foot wrong.

N’da put the home team ahead in the 31st minute before Yameogo sealed the win 13 minutes from full time.

The defeat ensured that Enyimba dropped to the third position after four matches – meaning they have to sit up in their remaining games.

They travel to Stade Modibo Kéïta, Bamako, Mali for their tie with Djoliba on August 19.
