France’s Benjamin Pavard Wins FIFA Award For World Cup Goal Of The Tournament

Football star, Benjamin Pavard's stunning long-range strike for France against Argentina has been named as the best goal of the 2018 World Cup by FIFA.

The 22-year-old Stuttgart right-back scored the goal from a long range in the last-16 clash against the South American country in Russia.

The French team won the game 4-3 and went on to lift the trophy after defeating Uruguay, Belgium and Croatia. 

Juan Quintero's wonderful free-kick for Colombia against Japan in the group stage finished second while Luka Modric’s stunner against Argentina, also in the group stage came third in the voting.

Nigeria's Ahmed Musa's second goal against Iceland in the group stage was also nominated for award alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’s third goal against Spain and Lionel Messi’s goal against Nigeria.
