The Amnesty International Nigeria has hailed the release of 112 IPOB women who were arrested and detained for protesting the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu.

An Imo State High Court on Friday ordered for the release of the women who demanded the whereabouts of Kanu since the Operation Python Dance in the Southeast last year.

Reacting, Amnesty vowed to always fight for the interest of Nigerians and ensure they live in dignity.

“Freedom for #Owerri women came thanks to resilience of many activists, civil society organizations & pro bono lawyers.

“Together we can ensure that all Nigerians live with dignity. #Nigeria #Owerri112,” a tweet from its handle read.
