EPL: Yedlin Own-Goal Gifts Chelsea 2-1 Win Over Newcastle

Newcastle United were left in a world of utter misery as they conceded a late own goal to hand Chelsea a hard-fought win at St James’ Park in a Premier League game on Sunday.

The win made it three wins from three under new manager Maurizio Sarri as the Blues kept their 100 per cent record in tact.

Eden Hazard put Sarri’s charges in front by converting a penalty in the 76th minute, but Joselu sent the home fans into raptures with an equaliser seven minutes from regulation time.

And when The Magpies thought they had done enough to at least earn a point, DeAndre Yedlin scored in the wrong net to hand Chelsea all three points that put them behind leaders Liverpool, who have a better goal difference.
