Nigerian Products Struggling In Global Market – MAN
Nigeria products are not competing well with others in the global market, according to the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.
President of the body Frank Jacobs revealed this over the weekend during the 34th Annual General Meeting and Public Lecture of MAN, Rivers/Bayelsa branch in Port-Harcourt.
According to Jacobs, the programme was in the right direction since “made-in-Nigeria products are struggling to compete with its likes in the global market.”
He, therefore, called on governments across the federal and state levels to partner with MAN towards helping to steady the economy.
Also speaking, the Vice Chancellor of Veritas University, Abuja Mike Kwanashie, urged manufacturers to brace up for the global economy.
“The manufacturing sector holds the key to economic growth and poverty reduction in Nigeria and this is why SON will stop at nothing to rid the nation of substandard goods,” Kwanashie said.
