Former City Star Yaya Toure Is Welcomed As He Returns To Olympiacos

Former Manchester City star, Yaya Toure, received a rousing welcome as he returned to Olympiacos after leaving the Greek club 12-years ago.

The 35-year-old Ivorian midfielder was unveiled to the fans at the Karaskaikis Stadium on Sunday before Olympiacos thrashed Giannena 5-0 in the Greek league.

Toure who last played for Olympiakos in the 2005-06 season has been a free agent since leaving Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer.

According to Greek sports website Sport24, Toure will be paid £2.2million for one season, plus £1.8m as a signing-on bonus

On going back to his former club, Toure wrote on his website: 'I cannot wait to help the club win the trophies the great fans of Olympiacos deserve'.
