Nigeria, India To Strengthen Bilateral Trade Ties

Nigeria and India are putting modalities in place for the deepening of bilateral trade ties between them, the Nigeria Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has said.

This was announced by the Chairman of the body Chevalier Itsueli at the anniversary of Diplomatic Engagement between Nigeria and India tagged “Nigeria-India @60: People, Partnerships, Prospects.”

According to Itsueli, Nigeria is India’s biggest trading partner in Africa.

He added that the Indian export was also recording massive growth, especially on Information and Communication Technology and medicine.

On his part, the President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Babatunde Ruwase, revealed that the trade volume between both nations had climbed to $20bn.
