Trafficking: DSS, NAPTIP Rescue 16 Women At Abuja Airport
16 victims of human trafficking were rescued by Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), on Thursday, following a tip-off.
The victims were intercepted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, just before they were about to embark on their journey to Saudi Arabia.
Two alleged traffickers have also been arrested and the victims are being profiled at the NAPTIP headquarters to ascertain their proper and correct identities.
The Head of Press and Public Relations of NAPTIP, Mr Josiah Emerole, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Abuja on Thursday, February 15, that the operation followed a tip off.
