Women should blow their noses before they have sex to increase their chances of an orgasm , according to experts.
A new study has revealed that those with the sharpest sense of smell were up to six times more likely to climax.
The improved sense of smell means the woman is more sensitive to body odours and hormones which trigger arousal.
Having a blocked nose can therefore hinder your chances of having an orgasm.
Psychotherapist Phillip Hodson told The Sun: “The findings suggest having a head cold and blocked nose may make arousal more difficult. Clearing the nose may be a useful strategy.
“I know from my own sex therapy practice that you can improve sexual response among healthy women and men by getting them to consciously smell their partners.”
Scientists from the Technical University Dresden in Germany asked 70 young adults to rank their sex lives as well as their sense of smell.
Just one in seven women with the poorest conks tended to climax during sex, compared to six out of seven with the most powerful hooters.
Researcher Johanna Bendas said: “A high smell sensitivity was associated with reports of a more pleasant sexual experience as well as high frequency of orgasms in women.”
