Nigeria: Atiku Reacts To NASS Approval Of State Assembly Financial Autonomy

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed an amendment to the constitution that grants autonomy to state judiciary and state Houses of Assembly.
Reacting to the signing in a post on Twitter, Atiku said the signing of the bill would help develop states in the nation.
He wrote: “The NASS deserves commendation for the just assented to bill granting financial autonomy to state assemblies and judiciary.
“It is laws like this, and more, that will grant the constituent states the envisaged independence and flexibility to develop at their own pace.”
