The Governor Nasir El-Rufai led Kaduna State government has imposed an indefinite 24-hour curfew on the crisis hit communities in Kwaru and Ungwan Yero.

Two youths were on Friday killed in the communities after a deadly clash.

In a statement on Sunday, the spokesperson of the governor, Samuel Aruwan said:

“This extends the 7am to 7pm curfew earlier imposed on these neighbouring communities in Kaduna North Local Government.

“The decision was taken after review of the security situation in the communities.

“Residents of the two communities are enjoined to comply with the directives, as security agencies have been directed to vigorously enforce the curfew.”
