First Senegal-born To Be Elected MP In Spain
Luc André Diouf will be Senegalese origin's first person to take a seat in Spain as an MP.
The governing socialists of Spain have won the third election of the country in four years, but they are short of a majority, BBC reports.
Mr Diouf arrived as an undocumented migrant in the Canary Islands in 1992 and joined the Socialist Party after working as an interpreter and in the CCOO labour union.
He will represent the parliamentary city of Las Palmas.
Congratulations Diouf!
